Senior Designer
My career in hairstyling started over 30 years ago when I earned a spot at the legendary Vidal Sassoon Salon. As a stylist there I created innovative styles for hair collections, educational workshops, and demonstrated cutting techniques and styles at hair shows. I brought those skills as an educator to Aveda to help them expand in NYC and launch their flagship salon and Aveda Institute in SoHo. It was in SoHo NYC where my life long dream of opening my own salon came true. In 1997 I helped open Space Salon which earned a reputation as one of New York’s hippest salons, with regular clients including Christy Turlington, Gisele Bündchen, and Edward Burns, just to name a few. While at Space Salon, I was called upon numerous times for my expert advice by many of the leading fashion magazines including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Allure, Glamour and In-Style. I have also appeared on two episodes of the hit TV show, “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy”. In my career I’ve had the honor to work with legends such as Vidal Sassoon, Aveda founder, Horst Rechelbacher and former Vidal Sassoon International Creative Director, Tim Hartley and now the very talented David J. Witchell. I have a down-to-earth, easy going personality and I get energy and creativity by sharing ideas with my co-workers. I'm a people person who enjoys getting to know my clients and building relationships with them. My attention to detail and haircutting ability is what has garnered the trust and loyalty of my clients.
